Welcome to episode 101 of The Shooting The Breeze Sailing Podcast (STBSP). This time around we chat about Mini Cat, X-Cat, and Reverso performance inflatable sailboats, Catamarans and Mono-Hulls, that pack away into small spaces, mitigating the need for boat storage on trailers or in marina’s/storage lots. These are fun boats that range in size from extra small to 460’s, are made of durable and Hi-Tech materials, are easy to put together, store away in small spaces, which opens up sailing to urban or HOA restricted sailors in suburbia. Alex Caslow, AKA Red Beard, started Red Beard Sailing with his wife back around 2015, and was able to represent the X-Cat as Day Sailor of the year in 2017 at the Annapolis Sailboat Show. It was a great conversation and I hope to someday go and Demo one of these performance boats with Alex, make sure to check them out at redbeardsailing.com.
