Nathan and Vivian from Ocean Passages.

Please welcome to the show, Nathan Zahrt and Vivian Vuong from Ocean Passages! This episode of The Shooting The Breeze Sailing Podcast (STBSP) we chat with them about offering ocean sailing training under the umbrella of John Kretschmer Sailing, about how they came to be sailors, the training they had to take in order to become professionals, the experiences they’ve had both on their own, as well as parts of crews of super yachts! After getting the traveling bug, they became sailors almost by accident, as friends invited them to move to Florida to live aboard a 37 foot boat. Spending the weekends learning to sail, they eventually decided to have a go at crewing on larger boats professionally, earning their seatime and certifications to go it on their own boat and start the business. The Coronavirus kind of put a hold on things, but they are geared up for sail training this summer, on top of ongoing delivery business. They are willing to go on your own boat and teach you the ways from there, or hop on board with them on an variety of trips throughout the season. They are now in the Chesapeake Bay at Spring Grove Marina in Solomons Island, MD  on board S/V Ultima, a well found Compass 47, waiting for you to book a passage!
