STBSP Ep. 108, S/V Lissadell Shakedown Cruise of the Upper Chesapeake Bay, June 2019

S/V Lissadell at anchor in Swan Creek, Rock Hall, MD

Welcome to Episode 108 of The Shooting The Breeze Sailing Podcast (STBSP)! Never Mind the Blathering! This episode is a wrap up of our Shakedown Cruise aboard S/V Lissadell in the beginning of June. 2019. This is the first opportunity to get around the upper part of the Chesapeake Bay on a multi Day cruise to popular spots, Middle River and Rock Hall, Maryland after recommissioning the boat all of 2018 and most of the spring 2019. Not much in the way of sailing, we have a long motor down, dodging predicted Severe Weather, a decent, yet lumpy sail across to Rock Hall, and a long Motor home. We spend 30 or 40 minutes on Monday morning chatting about what has happened so far, and I end up wrapping up the journey at home a few days later. It’s a bit toothy, and I actually did re-record my part at the end, but ended up just going with the original, I’ve been sick since we got back, first a head cold, now the Flu, and I just don’t have the patience to make it perfect. Hope you enjoy it though!
