Author of Nefarious, Antonio J. Hopson

Greetings Podcast fans! This Episode of The Shooting The Breeze Sailing Podcast (STBSP) is an interview with Author of the novel “Nefarious : Sailboat Racing in the Salish Sea,” Antonio J. Hopson. He sent me a copy of the book last year, and it took me a while to get thru it, having left the book onboard Lissadell for over three months. The book is a fictional account of “Race Week” in the sailing grounds surrounding Seattle, Washington, the Puget Sound, and the Salish Sea.
Antonio spent a few years hanging around the sailboat racing scene doing research for the novel, developing characters and storylines, all while keeping the sailing honest and capturing the motivations of sailboat racers. There are a few potentially controversial character arcs and plot points, but ultimately I feel that most of the characters have full storylines and achieve the goals they set out with. I looked forward to bringing up some of these potential sticky wickets with the Author and I believe they prompt a great conversation between us, but potentially within the reader as well.
I have to apologize for Godaddy.com messing up the website for a couple of days here in late January/early February. Lets hope I can get everything up to speed and transferred to the updated hosting site without losing it once again. I may not be able to include an image within this post, but please check out the authors website!
