STBSP Ep. 115, Paul and Sheryl Shard of Distant Shores aboard the Discovery/Southerly 480

by JeffreyWettig | November 11th, 2019

Paul and Sheryl Shard of Distant Shores being interviewed by Jeffrey Wettig at the Annapolis Sailboat Show.

Greetings folks! This episode we sit down for some tea in Port Annapolis to once again talk with Paul and Sheryl Shard of the Distant Shores television show! We’ve caught up with them many times before, but it was nice to catch up before they take off for another few seasons out there in the wild blue yonder! We chat about TV vs. Youtube, Catamarans vs. Monohulls, Pacific cruising vs. Caribbean and or Mediterranean cruising, Patreon and Sail Away Weeks, and much, much more. Distant Shores 3 is a fine ship, a Discovery/Southerly 480, is set up perfectly for bringing guests along on voyages, and has a great salon for hanging out and being able to see with all the great windows and elevated dining area. One of the latest Youtube Video’s shows them drying out the boat on a beach in the Bahama’s at low tide, which is great for inspecting below the water line from time to time. You can check out the Distant Shores television show on AWE TV in the US.
